What is Germination?
Germination is the term used to describe the sprouting of a plant from a seed or a spore. It occurs when a seed has been planted and watered according to instructions, and it first sprouts a tiny root to anchor it to the soil and access the water. From that point, the seed begins to produce other roots above the soil which become the parts of the plant.

March is an important time for the garden as there is plenty to do as spring arrives. It is time to work on the lawn, prepare any water features, order seeds for sowing, turn and fork in compost, prune, trim and take cuttings, sow vegetables, and generally prepare the garden for the busy months ahead.
March is the time to start mowing the lawn and trim the lawn edges to keep them neat and tidy. It is also the time to sow new lawns from seed or to lay turf. Water features and ponds should be cleaned up, and any fountains and pumps that were removed in the winter should be replaced.

If you suddenly find yourself in care of an orchid and you have no idea what the variety is, do some research by going online or consult an orchid expert at your nearest garden center. Some orchids need care completely different from these general guidelines. I wouldn’t want you to hurt an orchid!

The benefits of wheatgrass juice is gaining attention day-by-day with the buzz it creates among health buffs. You also might have heard that you can grow your own wheatgrass from the comfort of your home. In this article, we will also give you tips on how to effectively tend your growing wheatgrass and prevent molds. Most gardening stores don’t usually sell high-quality wheatgrass and it might also be hard to buy one from them. If you want to get high-quality wheatgrass, you should get it online or in specialist health food stores and they’ll surely know what you’ll need. Once you have bought your wheatgrass seeds, it’s about time to start knowing more about planting and growing wheatgrass. To begin growing wheatgrass, you must first soak your wheatgrass seeds in water for around eight hours. After this, a 10×20 seed tray with an approximately 2-inch depth should be prepared. You can then start putting in the wet compost, peat moss, and an all-natural grower to improve the health of your growing wheatgrass. Next step would be draining and rinsing the seeds twice. Disperse the seeds in the soil, let them stay close but do not let them remain on top of each other. Do not heavily shower the peat moss to avoid aggravating your growing wheatgrass. Shower your seeds equally to initiate the growth process between the peat moss and the wheatgrass seeds. Your growing wheatgrass seeds should not be too wet but make sure they are also not too dry. To make sure your wheatgrass is growing well, continue to check on these important aspects.
