According to the climate scientists, weather and climate should not be confused with each other, and the common concept of “record cold, snowstorms and devastating flood are conflicting with the notion of a warming world” does not make any sense.

Genetic Engineering: It’s a topic many find both fascinating and concerning, and with good reason. The idea that we could solve the world’s hunger problems and eliminate our dependence on non-renewable fuel sources, that science could literally save the planet, could save us from ourselves, is undoubtedly appealing on first glance. But whether we, as a people, can possibly accomplish these goals through genetic engineering is not nearly as pressing an issue as whether we should.

An LED plant light is beneficial for plant growth in so many different ways due to a variety of reasons. First it is important to understand the process of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants create their food in the presence of sunlight. In this process, carbon dioxide in the air is converted into food and oxygen is expelled into the environment. But for this process to take place, sunlight or an adequate lighting source is vital. The growth of a plant is determined by not only the amount of light but also the quality and duration of the light.

One was of our redbud tree, once dormant for the year, that had budded into green leaves as if it were Spring. The other was our pear tree that still had pears and green leaves not yet bitten by frost. They reminded me of my family’s Thanksgiving photo taken under my dad’s apple tree twelve years before.
We were in shirtsleeves and the apple tree still had green leaves, as it had not yet frosted that year. My father, then 88, said that never in his memory had a frost been so late. It turned out that 1998 was one of the hottest years on record but 2012 may set a new record. The two latest frosts in our area in almost a century have occurred after Thanksgiving – and in the past 12 years.

Looking at the states seemingly unlimited oil and natural gas reserves, one might think that Texas has no real need of shifting towards renewable energy sources to support its energy independence. But unless really cheap electricity technologies or inexpensive transmission lines come into reality, Texas and any other state for that matter have no choice but to give bigger focus on Texas electricity generation using renewable energy resources.
In recent years, Texas has invigorated a statewide interest in renewable energy guided by a renewable portfolio standard set in 2010 with the goal of setting up 10,000 megawatts of renewable energy installations until the year 2025. And to provide Texans a means to do their part, the state has offered various renewable energy incentives which appear in various forms such as property tax rebates or incentives based on performance.
